Russia: Novorossiysk sea trading port increased grain transshipment by 5.4%

In January 2009, the general cargo flow of Novorossiysk sea trading port (Russia) totaled 7.04 mln tons, an increase of 1.03 mln tons compared to the same period of 2008, declared the press-cutting service of the port.

 
In January, the grain cargo transshipment totaled 437.000 tons, up 5.4% compared to January level of the last year. Several segments decreased their cargo flow volumes. Sugar shipment volumes decreased by 63.000 tons, mineral fertilizers - by 4.500 tons.

 
In the last month, vegetable oil shipment in the port totaled 23.100 tons, up 46.2% compared to January 2008.
