PJSC NCSP continues to implement a $150 million Sheskharis Oil Terminal Reconstruction Project. Upon completion of the project in 2012, the terminal’s throughput capacity will increase by 15 million tonnes per year. The company commissioned a new oil  and oil products control and metering system under the project in 2009. The system uses the latest technology to monitor oil and oil product loading and enhances environmental and fire safety. PJSC NCSP also began work in 2009 on the construction of a new “A” loading platform at Berth No. 1 that will be able to accommodate tankers with deadweight of 80,000 to 150,000 tonnes.

PJSC NCSP teamed up with an international oil trader in May 2009 to set up LL C Novorossiysk Fuel Oil Terminal, a 50/50 joint venture to implement the project to build a fuel oil terminal with capacity of 4 million tonnes per year. The design phase of the project was completed in 2009 and construction is scheduled to begin in 2010. PJSC NCSP is also working on a project to build a container terminal with capacity of 1.2 million TEU per year to increase container transshipment and build up its market share on the container cargo market. In 2009 the company drafted plans for the project and bmapped out the stages of its implementation.
