OJSC Novorossiysk Shipyard completed the construction of a covered crane trestle in 2008 as part of its efforts to modernize its transshipment business. This boosted the overall capacity of the company’s transshipment complex for loading and unloading of rail cars to 200 cars per day regardless of weather conditions, even in galeforce winds.

Also in 2008, the company commissioned the No. 9a ferry cargo berth that was designed for Ro-Ro ships and cargo. The berth handles ships with stern ramps carrying rolling cargo such as cars, trucks and special

equipment, as well as food cargo on pallets.
